You have a better chance of getting it in with your checked luggage. if you try to bring it in a carry on, they will take it away. Even with the checked luggage, there is still a chance that it will be taken. I would bring a few bottles, but I think I would leave the good stuff at home. Check out the message board on cruisecritic.com there are alot of threads dedicated to sneaking booze aboard.

Some crusies that are all inclusive should have some wines included in the price. Check with the cruise line to see what is included on the ship, maybe you won't have to smuggle anything in.

Most ships now have x-ray machines when you are boarding, so if you are planning to take it aboard with you, it will be hard. They will spot it and probably hold it in the holding area for the duration of your cruise and give it back to you when you end your cruise. Putting it in your checked luggage will probably be your best bet, if anything is going to work. Good luck.

for 10 days, I would think smuggling a few bottles of hard liquor would be a better idea. Fill up a flask and keep it with you.

you can probably drink it in your room, but I do not think they will let you drink it at the dinner table....it's not like they go through your bags
